 The technique of          Needle Felting

Needle felting is done by stabbing the wool with a barbed needle many times over and over until the action binds and sculpts the fibres into the required shape.

Once the basic shape of the pet has been felted onto a wire armature, the 'top coat' of fibres can be added to create the true colour and individuality...You could say it is like painting with wool.

I use many different fibres depending on the type of coat required...

Natural fleece, alpaca, camel down, mohair, silk, real dog hair, (I can even incorporate your own dogs combings)

I enjoy experimenting to find unique blends for my craft, including natural dyes.
